I am about to reformat my computer, but have torrents in the middle of downloading and can’t wait until they are finished, so this little trick is a godsend.

Navigate to
C:\Users\Brendo\AppData\Roaming\uTorrent
and back up the entire directory. (In Vista, not sure of the exact directory in XP)

Then navigate to your downloads folder
C:\Users\Brendo\Downloads
in my case, and back that up too.

Once you have reformatted/moved and installed uTorrent, simply drag those two directories over the top of what is already there and voila! your torrents are back how they were.

Now to finish setting up this computer to puuuurrrr…

In attempting to load our 1 year old mascot up with a myspace, I came across the “Not elligible” error. This was because I was trying to sign him up as a 1 year old, which was a mistake, because everyone knows a 1 year old dog can’t use myspace.

It turns out once you get this error, it must store some sort of cookie/session info that you are inelligible as repeat attempts at ages between 0 and 110ish were all denied until I switched browser.

I picked a random year and thought that was the end of it, but it turns out it wasn’t. When I went in to do some general fan maintenance for young Rowdy, I decided to try and change the age back to 1 and again it denied me. So I tried to make it 101 and thats when I got the amusing error informing me that I must be between 14 and 100 to use myspace.

I guess they have no plans to launch myspace bingo or myspace lawn bowls anytime soon.

I am posting again!

I have decided, in light of my weak social life at the moment and lack of memorable drunken debauchery, to change the blog a bit.

It will now be more about tech stuff.

That is all I have for now, but there will be some real content in the next few days.

The old blog has been retired, but I may sneak some of the better posts into the archives here one day… I’ll let you know…
