Welcome to the Frontpage

I have been playing around with Joomla! 1.5 and have found that some of the different options are nested quite deeply in the backend. The title of the front page is one of these options.

The location of it makes sense, though it is a little hard to get to. I have had to change it on various test sites etc up to 4 or 5 times, and each time I had to google how to do it. I decided that if I write it down, I might just remember it for next time.

Hover over the Menus option in the top menu bar, then choose “Main Menu” from the list.

From here, click on the Home item. This will take you to the properties for this item. If you then choose Parameters - System on the right, it will pop out a nice little list of options with Page Title and text box next to it which is populated by “Welcome to the Frontpage”.

Voila! The title of you site is now whatever you want it to be.
