I need to do a Google search for: the [everything] shop, for a client.

By this, I mean I wanted it to return all results that were ‘the … shop’ it could find.

I thought I’d look up an advanced google search tips site and see if it could help me out.

The first two I found, didn’t, so I thought I’d have a go on my own and it turned out to be simpler than I thought.

“The * Shop” (quotes included, of course) returned the results I wanted, but only with one word between the and shop.

I tried “The ** Shop” and got results with two words between the and shop.

I’m not exactly sure how I would have gone about this if this stab didn’t work, but it did and the client is again happy.
